Engine Rescue 13 handled a motor vehicle accident with injury at the 1000 BLK State St, Rush Twp. Upon arrival, found one vehicle into a tree with one patient still inside the vehicle. FD personnel dual trained in EMS began patient care until EMS arrived on scene. FD then assisted EMS with extrication and packaging of patient and patient was transported to the nearest trauma center for additional treatment. FD also performed traffic control until vehicle was towed from the scene. Assisting on scene was Ambulance 13, Medic 23, PSP, and Dunlap Towing.
