A second Grant was secured for the community park from the Walmart Transportation Division for the Spring of 2009. The money will be used to repair the restroom roof.

The Basketball court fencing project has been completed. Additional grants are being sought to finish the Ball Field Fencing. Also Escavating will begin soon on improvements to the ballfield.

The Mountain Top Fire Co has secured two grants to begin improvements to the Fire Company owned community park. The first grant was through the Centre County community foundation and the second was from the Walmart Transportation Division.  Both grants were made possble because of  the company's IRS 501 (c) 3  Charitable tax status.  These 2 grants, along with funds from the company, are being used to replace the fencing around the basketball and tennis courts.  This is tentatively scheduled to done Thursday Oct 30 -31.  We are trying to secure additional funding to complete the ballfield and fencing, add additional playground equipment and other improvements.  Thanks to Dusty Greenawalt, Park Superintendant and all those who helped with the project.
